Understanding Proof of Performance

Proof of Performance is your business's verified record of performance over time. Instead of relying on ratings or opinions, Hire Rules verifies observable performance through customer confirmations, creating a trusted record that grows over time.

Verified Proof of Performance

Completed customer verifications that appear on your public Business Profile.

Partial Proof of Performance

Incomplete verifications visible only to your business. These insights can help you better understand customer interactions and identify opportunities for improvement.

Only completed Proof of Performance appears on your PUBLIC business listing. Partial Proof of Performance is visible only in your dashboard and can help identify opportunities for improvement.

Add Team Members

Create a unique Proof of Performance link for each member of your team.

Each team member receives a unique Proof of Performance link so completed verifications can be associated with the right employee.

Many businesses create QR codes using their team members' unique Proof of Performance links. While Hire Rules doesn't generate QR codes at launch, any QR code generator can create one using the link provided.

People can find your business by searching for your city, state, or ZIP code.

The street address helps you recognize the business location associated with this Proof of Performance.

Add Business Locations

If your business operates from multiple locations, create a unique Proof of Performance link for each one.

Each business location receives its own unique Proof of Performance link.

Each business location has its own unique Proof of Performance link, making it possible to track performance separately across multiple locations.

Sharing Your Business Profile

Your Business Profile is designed to be shared. Sharing your profile helps prospective customers view your growing Proof of Performance before choosing your business.

Copy your Business Profile link directly from your dashboard and include it wherever customers may want to learn more about your business.

Many businesses choose to share their profile:

  • On their website

  • In email signatures

  • In estimates and proposals

  • On social media

  • In customer follow-up emails

Many businesses share their Business Profile before customers make a hiring decision, giving them an opportunity to view verified Proof of Performance instead of relying solely on ratings or reviews.

Ideas for Using Your Proof of Performance

Every business is different.

Proof of Performance can support customer relationships, internal recognition, marketing, and continuous improvement in many different ways.

Some businesses choose to:

  • Share their Business Profile before customers make a hiring decision.

  • Include their profile in proposals and estimates.

  • Recognize team members who consistently build trust.

  • Compare trends across business locations.

  • Follow their own business to stay informed about new activity.

  • Use Partial Proof of Performance to identify coaching opportunities.

There isn't one "right" way to use your Proof of Performance. As your business grows, you'll likely discover new ways to make it part of your customer experience.

Followers choose to stay connected because they value verified performance. Continue earning that trust through the same reliable service that built your Proof of Performance.

Prepare Your Business Logo

Your business logo helps customers recognize your company and gives your Hire Rules profile a professional, trustworthy appearance.

For the best results:

  • Use a square image: 1024 × 1024 pixels is recommended.

  • Accepted formats: PNG or JPG.

  • Keep your logo centered: Make sure the entire logo is visible, with some space around the edges.

  • Use a clear background: White or your brand's background color works best.

  • Use your official business logo: Avoid blurry images, screenshots, or unrelated graphics.

Don't have a logo yet? We recommend creating a simple, professional logo with your business name before completing your profile.

A clear business identity helps customers recognize your company and builds confidence in the Hire Rules community.
